Heavy metals (HMs) are harmful and lethal at negligible levels and non-biodegradable in the typical ecosystem and constitutes animal, human and environmental hazards. They are divided into toxic metals like Lead, Cadmium, Arsenic, etc. and essential elements like copper, zinc, manganese, iron, nickel and chromium. Additionally, could be categorized into two groups based on the natural and anthropogenic sources releasing origins. Population and industrial expansion led to food contamination with HMs. Poisonous metals can be transferred from irrigation water to agricultural soils, agricultural operations, air pollution, animal feed, and packaging materials. Toxic metals are non-biodegradable, non-thermos degradable, and exceedingly stable in the ecosystem; as a result, they quickly build in various foods. Metal pollution of many foods, including agricultural commodities, and animal protein sources such as fish, milk, meat, and eggs, poses a hazard to food safety and security. Toxic metal pollution of irrigation water, agricultural soils, plants, and animals result in their integration into the food chain, posing a health hazard to humans. Most metals are harmful to animals and humans and accumulate in several organs like the skeleton, hepatic tissue, spleen, and renal tissues. Metals have a deleterious impact on the production of plants and animals. As a result, several remediation strategies have become necessary to limit the hazardous HMs pathway into the food chain and the human body. Metal nanoparticles are employed in beneficial applications, although they are associated with specific hazards.

...y synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs) and control groups. While surfacing, body care, resting and aggressive behaviours with all their patterns were the lowest in the extracted oils treated groups than the other groups. Crossing test showed that fish raised at the extracted oils treated groups were more active and could had the highest values of growth rate than those raised at ZnONPs groups. It was concluded that the addition of extracted oils from ...

...esized curcumin selenium nanoparticles (CurSeNPs), using a hydroalcoholic extract of Curcuma longa rhizomes, in reducing disruption to hormonal profiles, redox homeostasis, inflammatory parameters, and ovarian tissue PTEN gene expressions in rats treated with doxorubicin. CurSeNPs were synthesized using sodium hydrogen selenite and a hydroalcoholic extract derived from Curcuma longa. The in vivo study utilized thirty-two mature female rats divided into four ex...

...is the use of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs) synthesized from probiotics like Bacillus subtilis. This study explored the potential effects of ZnONPs synthesized using Bacillus subtilis on the performance, antioxidant activity, and neurotoxicity of tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus). A total of 96 fish were divided into four groups: T1 (Control), T2 (3 mg ZnONPs /g diet), T3 (6 mg ZnONPs /g diet), and T4 (9 mg ZnONPs /g diet), with four replicates per group a...

... concentration of silver nanoparticles that can inhibit gram-positive and negative bacteria. It was done so that the silver nanoparticles could be evaluated as an antimicrobial agent, and there was also the possibility that they could be used as a feed additive. This study assesses microbial inhibition and the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) in a laboratory setting. The substances utilized included silver

...easily applied. Propolis nanoparticles are easily absorbed and have better antibacterial and antifungal effects than ordinary propolis. The present study aimed to compare propolis ethanolic extract (PEE) and propolis nanoemulsion (PN) as a feed additive in poultry farms by evaluating their influences on growth, immune status, and pathological conditions in chickens. The size, uniformity, and spherical shape of PN were measured at 4.065 ±1.12nm, with a p...

...ate the impact of silver nanoparticles (30 and 40 ppm) on growth and productivity of five different gloxinia cultivars i.e., Kaiser Wilhelm, Violaciea, Blenche de Meru, Mont Blance and Tigrina Red. The experiment was conducted following complete randomized design under controlled conditions. The results concluded that Blenche de Meru and Mont Blance were best among cultivars and exhibited the ameliorated vegetative and reproductive parameters. The maximum no. ...
