ABSTRACT

In October 1986, leaves of Cydonia oblonga Mill, and Pyrus communis Linn., the members of Rosaceae, showing superficial fungal fruiting bodies were collected by the authors from Jandool area, District Dir, N.W.F.P., Pakistan. The white fungal coating studded with mature black fruiting bodies was mainly present on the lower surface of the leaves, but a few patches were also observed on the upper surface of a very few leaves and fruit.
