Nursery techniques and afforestation of Populus euphratica in China

ABSTRACT
Populus euphratica is one of the important tree species
in arid and semi-arid areas of the world. During the
last forty years about 2000 ha euphrate poplar
plantations have been established in Xinjiang and Gansu
provinces of China. This paper describes the nursery and
afforestation techniques for P. euphratica.
