Forest inventory design for afforestation areas

ABSTRACT
This paper deals with a two stage sampling design for
afforestation inventories which was recently adopted
for the evaluation of large plantation areas in the
North-West Frontier Province. Major considerations for
designing such an inventory are elaborated and the
complete procedure of selecting an appropriate design,
implementing it in the field, data processing and
interpretation of the results are described.
