Cooling impact of Urban trees

Cooling impact of Urban trees

Adnan Zahoor

ABSTRACT

Background:

Human activities, over the past two million years, have drastically modified the environment. They cleared the large areas of forest, grass land and created new landscapes. Humans started replacing the vegetated landscape with constructed citiescapes. Several physical features of the landscape combine to produce local climate variations. Chief among these are the influence of topography, proximity to the ocean, and urbanization.
