Allelopathic effect of Eucalyptus camaldulensis on wheat (Triticum aestivum) crop

ABSTRACT

Allelopathic effects of different parts of Eucalyptus camaldulensis were studied in this experiment. Wheat variety Faisalabad 83 and Fiasalabad 85 were irrigated with 5% solution of fresh leaves, dry leaves, fresh bark, dry bark, whereas pure water was used for woodlot soil treatment and control. Effects of 5% solution of different parts of Eucaluptus camadulensis on the pH of soil, germination percentage, number of tillers per plant, height of crop and yield, (straw and grains) of wheat crop were studied which were statistically insignificant.
