PCR-RFLP based genotyping of FABP2 Ala54Thr polymorphism. The Hha1 restriction enzyme digested PCR products were run in well 1-9 and 10-15. The M lane represents the 100bp DNA ladder run along with samples for product size estimation. According to results, as shown on gel, the un-cut 180bp PCR products of samples 1-3, 6, 9 and 11-15 represent 54Thr homozygous genotype of FABP2 gene. The completely cut 5 and 10 number samples represent Ala54 homozygous genotypes while samples 4, 7, and 8 with both un-cut (180bp) and cut (99 and 81bp) PCR products clearly indicate the heterozygous Ala54Thr genotypes of FABP2 gene.
