The global poultry industry is an important contributor to food security, poverty alleviation and sustainable agriculture. However, the most important threat to these cheapest sources of food is infectious diseases. Primarily, viral diseases are posing major obstacle to sustained production of poultry-associated products. This special issue invites review articles, research papers, short communication or case reports on poultry viral diseases on following topics:

Emerging and Zoonotic Viral Infections in Developing Countries

 

Recently a surge in viral infections has been observed and highlights the challenges imposed by global warming, deforestation, globalization, and enhanced human-livestock-wildlife interface. This special issue invites original articles, critical reviews and expert commentaries on all aspects of emerging viruses. The scope of the special issue includes, but is not limited to, disease economics, molecular epidemiology and diagnosis, pathobiology, host immune response, vaccines and therapeutics.
